Background of the Study
Agricultural marketing plays a crucial role in the economic development of rural areas, yet traditional marketing channels often fail to effectively communicate product information and market trends. In Sokoto, Sokoto State, the adoption of interactive digital infographics is emerging as a transformative approach to enhance agricultural marketing. These digital tools combine data visualization, interactive elements, and concise textual information to present market data, crop performance, and supply chain details in an engaging manner (Bello, 2023). Digital infographics can simplify complex agricultural data, making it accessible to farmers, traders, and policymakers alike. This increased accessibility is essential for empowering stakeholders with timely, accurate market information that can inform better decision-making. Moreover, the interactive nature of digital infographics allows users to explore data dynamically, which can lead to deeper insights and improved market strategies (Chinwe, 2024). By integrating real-time updates and interactive features, these infographics offer a modern solution to traditional agricultural marketing challenges. They not only enhance the presentation of market information but also foster improved communication between producers and consumers. The study examines how interactive digital infographics can be designed and implemented to boost agricultural marketing effectiveness in Sokoto. It further explores the potential of these tools to facilitate market transparency, reduce information asymmetry, and promote competitive pricing. The research aims to contribute to a better understanding of how digital innovation can support the agricultural sector, thereby driving economic growth and sustainable development in rural communities (Dada, 2025).

Statement of the Problem
Agricultural marketing in Sokoto faces significant challenges due to the reliance on conventional communication methods that are often slow, cumbersome, and ineffective in conveying critical market information. Farmers and traders frequently depend on word-of-mouth or outdated printed materials, which can result in delayed market responses and suboptimal pricing strategies. The lack of a centralized, interactive platform for disseminating market data leads to information asymmetry, hindering efficient market operations (Gambo, 2023). Additionally, traditional methods fail to engage stakeholders actively, reducing the opportunity for dynamic data analysis and timely decision-making. Despite the potential of interactive digital infographics to revolutionize agricultural marketing, many stakeholders are not familiar with digital technologies, and there are significant resource constraints in rural areas. The absence of user-friendly, accessible digital tools means that valuable market insights are not fully leveraged, resulting in lost economic opportunities for farmers and other market participants. This study aims to address these issues by investigating the design, implementation, and impact of interactive digital infographics in agricultural marketing. It will assess whether these digital tools can effectively bridge the information gap, promote transparency, and enhance communication between all market players. Moreover, the study seeks to identify the challenges and limitations in adopting digital infographics in a rural context, providing recommendations to optimize their use in the agricultural sector (Hassan, 2024).

Objectives of the Study:

  1. To design an interactive digital infographic system for agricultural marketing.

  2. To evaluate the impact of digital infographics on market transparency and decision-making among stakeholders.

  3. To identify challenges and propose strategies for the effective adoption of digital infographics in agriculture.

Research Questions:

  1. How do interactive digital infographics influence the dissemination of agricultural market information in Sokoto?

  2. What impact do these infographics have on market transparency and pricing strategies?

  3. What challenges affect the adoption of digital infographics in rural agricultural marketing?

Significance of the Study
This study is significant as it explores innovative digital solutions to enhance agricultural marketing in Sokoto. By leveraging interactive digital infographics, the research aims to improve information flow, promote fair pricing, and empower stakeholders in the agricultural sector. The findings will provide valuable guidance for policymakers, extension workers, and technology developers seeking to drive sustainable economic development in rural areas (Ibrahim, 2024).

Scope and Limitations of the Study:
The study is limited to the design and evaluation of interactive digital infographics for agricultural marketing in Sokoto, Sokoto State. It does not cover other digital marketing tools or extend to regions beyond Sokoto.

Definitions of Terms:

  1. Digital Infographics: Visual representations of data that combine graphics, text, and interactive elements to convey information.

  2. Agricultural Marketing: The process of promoting and selling agricultural products and services.
